“ON MY SISTER’S SHOULDERS”
Film with discussion facilitated by Joan Sadoff, Producer

Second Baptist Church of Germantown, 6459 Germantown Avenue

This film tells the story of the role black women played in the southern civil rights movement in the 60’s. Their faith and character led to bravery in their actions and to the strong people they became. Understanding this historical context deepens understanding of American history and our black neighbors today.

This event will be a great opportunity for youth, parents and others to ask questions of the filmmaker.
