Gun Battle Prayer Vigil in Cramer Hill

From LTSP grads ministering in Camden - injuries and the 50 plus shell casings give witness to a gun battle at 6 on a summer evening, as folks sat on their porches and kids played in the streets. The shooting took place in the back yard of Christus Lutheran Church and the front yard of the Christus Peace Center. We are trying to mobilize as many folks as possible for a prayer vigil on the one week anniversary, Sept. 28th, at 25th and Hays. It would be wonderful if LTSP student could join us for this time of prayer.

We want to free Camden from the cycle of violence perpetuated by the drug epidemic. This is a monumental task and we need God's guidance and love in this city. Please help us break the cycle of separate neighborhoods and bring the light of Christ-like love and unity into the isolation and darkness of Camden.

PRAYER VIGIL
FRIDAY, SEPT 28TH 6 PM
ON THE STREET, BLOCK 900 N 25th
BETWEEN HAYES AND RIVER Rd
(BEHIND Christus Lutheran Church)
CRAMER HILL, CAMDEN

Come help re-claim our street as Holy Ground after last Friday’s shooting in which over 50 shots were fired in broad daylight on a warm evening as residents scattered in terror.
4 were injured including a 3 year old child and a 73 year old bystander, and two teens. All are recovering. Miraculously no one was killed, but these outrageous actions call for united action in the name of Peace. Please join us!
Sponsored by Camden Churches Organized for People. Police protection provided.

VIGILIA
VIERNES, 28 DE SEPTIEMBRE 6 PM
EN LA CALLE 25, 900 NORTE
ENTRE LA AVENIDA HAYES Y RIVER
(ATRAS DE La Iglesia Luterana Christus)
CRAMER HILL, CAMDEN

Parking is available on 24th, 26th - 28th streets and Hayes Ave. . Over the Ben Franklin I would have them stay to the right and take exit 5A. Immediate left on Flanders and right on Federal. Quick right just across the bridge on River Rd. Remember River Road is closed between 24th and 27th. So, you turn right on 24th and then left on Hayes….or park

"You can find Calcutta anywhere in the world. You only need two eyes to see. Everywhere in the world, there are people that are not loved, people that are not wanted nor desired, people that no one will help, people that are pushed away or forgotten. And this is the greatest poverty." - Mother Teresa
